Be it resolved that the agenda be accepted, including the modifications made forthwith, as applicable.

Be it resolved that Council approve the following minutes, as presented: - Minutes of Regular Council meeting held on December 9, 2024 - Minutes of Special Council meeting held on December 16, 2024

Be it resolved that all items listed under 7. Consent Items be received and approved as presented.

Be it resolved that Council approve all recommendations listed on the agenda under item #8. Reports from departments and Council Committees, as presented.

Be it resolved that Council approves giving a total donation of $1,500.00 to the Groupe Communautaire de St-Albert, to be taken from the ward 3 donation account.

Be it resolved that Council approves giving a total donation of $ 2,500.00 to the Limoges Recreation Committee, $500,00 to be taken from the Mayor's donation account, $1,000.00 to be taken from the ward 5 donation account and $1,000.00 to be taken from the ward 6 donation account.

Be it resolved that Council approves giving a total donation of $1,500.00 to the St-Bernardin Historical and Cultural Society, $500.00 to be taken from the Mayor's donation account, $500.00 to be taken from the Ward 1 donation account and $500.00 to be taken from the ward 2 donation account.

Be it resolved that the following By-laws, as presented on the January 27, 2025 agenda, be adopted in first, second and third reading: By-law #3-2025 to adopt environmental charges for 2025 and repeal By-law #147-2024 By-law #4-2025 interim taxes for 2025

Be it resolved that Council of The Nation Municipality supports the resolution of the Town of New Tecumseth, adopted on December 2, 2024, requesting the Redistribution of the Provincial Land Transfer Tax and GST to Municipalities. Be It Further Resolved That copies of this resolution be forwarded to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Premier Doug Ford, the Ontario Minister of Finance, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, local Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs).

Be it resolved that the Council meeting be adjourned at 5:10 p.m. for a public meeting for zoning.

Be it resolved that the regular Council meeting be reconvened at 5:24 p.m.

Be it resolved that the present meeting be adjourned at 5:24 p.m. for a closed session under the following section(s) of the Municipal Act, 2001: Section 239(2) A meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to the public if the subject matter being considered is, (d) labour relations or employee negotiations;

Be it resolved that the present meeting re-opened at 5:50 p.m.

Be it resolved that By-law no. 7-2025 to confirm the proceedings of Council at its regular meeting of January 27, 2025, be read and adopted in 1st, 2nd and 3rd reading.
