Regular Council Meeting

Be it resolved that the agenda be accepted, including the modifications made forthwith, as applicable.

Be it resolved that Council approves the minutes of the following meetings: Regular Council meeting held on October 21, 2024 Regular Council meeting held on October 28, 2024 Public Zoning Meeting held on October 28, 2024 Special Council meeting held on November 6, 2024 Special Council meeting held on November 7, 2024 Regular Council meeting held on November 12, 2024

Be it resolved that all items listed under 7. Consent Items be received and approved as presented, except for item 7.3.

Be it resolved that Council approves the Clerk’s Office request to single source the procurement of services from StoneShare (Digital Unity) to transition to SharePoint in 2025 pursuant to Section 6.7 (b)(v) of our Purchasing Policy (By-law 103-2024) on condition that the project is approved in the 2025 budget.

Be it resolved that Council approve all recommendations listed on the agenda under item #8. Reports from departments and Council Committees, as presented.

Whereas a balance of $1,150.00 is remaining from the discretionary amount from the UCPR to help with community, recreational or cultural activities during the year 2024. Whereas Council wishes to utilize the totality of these funds to the profit of the community of The Nation Municipality. Be it therefore resolved that Council approves amending resolution #52-2024 so that the $1,000.00 donation to the Riceville Agricultural Society be taken from the UCPR donation account instead of the Mayor’s donation account. Be it also resolved that Council approves amending resolution #82-2024 so that $150.00 of the donation to the Boboul Family Day be taken from the UCPR donation account instead of the Mayor’s donation account.

Be it resolved that Council approves Councilor Drolet's request to use the room located at the Limoges Annex, to allow volunteers to drop off, store and assemble Christmas baskets and donations between December 6 and 20, 2024.

Be it resolved that Council supports the resolution adopted by the Corporation of the Town of Cobalt, resolution number 2024-125, regarding a PS3280 accounting standard covering asset retirement obligations.

Be it resolved that the present meeting be adjourned at 5:03 p.m. for a closed session, in accordance with the following sections of the Municipal Act, 2001: Section 239(2) A meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to the public if the subject matter being considered is, (b) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;

Be it resolved that the present meeting be re-convened at 5:41 p.m.

Be it resolved that By-law no. 137-2024 to confirm the proceedings of Council at its regular meeting of November 25, 2024, be read and adopted in 1st, 2nd and 3rd reading.
